Should I swich to Nikon?

Currently i have a Canon t2i, and i love it. But after looking at my friends pictures… Who has a Nikon D3000. Which is a lot cheaper then mine and her pictures look better then mine, I feel like Nikon has better picture quality. Is this true? Should i swich over? I want to get the d90 or d5100
also, if you could provide me with the real differences between my canon t2i and nikon d90 (like if the picture quality is truely a lot better)
Added (1). I'm not new to photography i've took classes and read plenty of books and i take lots of experiment ppictures and i know photoshop. So i'm ok with that part but also the person with the nikon is new to photography and they still look good.

Its not the camera that makes the picture, it is you. Instead of switiching over, best would be for you to learn- take a class/workshop, read a couple of books, do more experimenting. Don't get discouraged if you see someone gets seemingly better pictures than you.
Canon is just as good as Nikon and is capable of the same things, its all how you set up the shot

The only noticeable difference in picture quality from those two cameras would be almost completely due to user ability and post processing of photos. Nikon is not better in image quality straight out of the camera. If it was, all professionals would use Nikon… Plenty use Canon.

Your Nikon friend may doing something right. On the other hand, you with your Canon may be doing something wrong. Don't compare pictures through the LCD. Do it in the computer. Picture quality is more of a result of the photographer's ability. The camera is just a tool.
Let your friend reset her camera to factory settings and lend it to you for a while. If you find that you like what you get with her Nikon then you may be correct. Switch and get done with it.

There's something missing from your question.
Better in what ways?
You do not explain what it is about the Nikon photos that is "better" than the Canon photos.
And you will probably have to spend some time learning some important concepts about photography and image quality, before you are able to explain well or properly the differences that you are seeing.
Until you can include in your question a good description of what is making the Nikon photos "better", it would be a waste of time and money to switch cameras.
Take a look at this thread:
Good luck in your quest for excellent image quality!

A T2i should be able to match a D3000. If it doesn't there's one of several things going on.
1. You're nowhere near as skilled as you're pretending to be
2.There's something wrong with your T2i
3. Your tastes fits better with Nikon.
As to differences, use the side by side on dpreview.

Here's a thing your friend is a better photographer and is also better at retouching photos in photo editing software. You need practice and need to learn some good techniques and concepts.
