What should be the next lens I should get?

I own a Nikon D3100 and I have a 18-55mm lens. I was wondering what next lens should I go with. A 55-200mm? A 85mm?

What sort of photos are you going to use with the 2nd lens. A wide zoom lens for landscape. An 85 mm for portrait. Etc.

I was in that same situation and ending up getting a zoom lens 55-250mm. I think it just depends on what you're wanting to shoot next. Eventually I want to own several different types of lenses. Just think about what you want to focus on next.
