Ruggedized camera suggestions?

I already own a Nikon D5000 and I'm good with photography etc. But I have lately wanted to get a ruggedized compact but seeing as how I hate cameras with high megapixels but horrible sensors (as most due) I would like to know if any of you have any good experiences with any…

I own a Canon 5D MkII and sometimes I hate the idea of lugging around all my gear, so very VERY occasionally I only bring a little P&S along.

I have owned several P&S camera. I have borrowed a number of others. I disliked the quality of every single one of them.

So, if I want decent results, I have to drag around my "real" camera *sigh*.
