Any suggestions for a dslr camera?

I was looking into a few… Nikon d3100, d5000, or d90; canon rebel xsi or t2i; i've heard great things about the pentax k-x, but then i heard some negatives too. Have any other suggestions?

I have a k-x and it's great. But I don't know a lot about cameras, I'm a noob:-P

I have the Rebel XS and the eos t1i. Both are excellent and I recommend Canon above all others.
They've been at this for decades and have a world wide reputation for quality gear and mine only proves that point.

Pentax, on the other hand, doesn't have such a reputation. Frankly I know nothing about them other than I would say they won't stand the test of time that a Canon will. Nuff said.
