Can the Nikon D90 take videos?
I've been looking for a while to find a dSLR camera that will take photos and videos, simply because I don't want to buy a dSLR camera and also a camcorder. The camera I'm currently looking to buy is a used Nikon D90 12.3 MP Digital DSLR Camera. Keep in mind that I'm not looking for a VERY high class camera in any way. I have a nikon D90 (dslr) and i'm shooting a time-lapse of the sunset. I don't want to use the automatic mode because it will end with the video having the same brightness/light. I'm trying to shoot the timelapse with manual mode so i can get that "effect" of the time-lapse video getting darker gradually. My question is what is the best settings i could use to get this "effect" in terms of shutter speed, aperture and iso.

How to reduce light flickering in Nikon D5100?
I make stopmotion animations, but they are the same thing as time-lapse videos. I use a Nikon D5100, but the thing is in each picture, the light flickers. Having light flicker degrades the quality of the animation, so is it possible to keep the lighting the same? I know it is the camera because I film at night, curtains drawn, door close, and all lights off except a desk lamp.
