Good starter lens for macro images?

I have a nikon D3100 and I love to take picture of plants, the lens I currently use doesn't get good close ups and I'd like to see if there are any (relatively) cheap starter level lenses for me.

Shooting on manual mode with Nikon?

I seem to be having troubles getting crisp clear photos while shooting on manual mode with my Nikon D5100. I get good lighting for the most part, I just can't seem to get really clear crisp photos. I do most of my photography outdoors in the late evening. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice they can give me? What should I have my exposure, aperture, shutter speeds and iso settings on? Sometimes when I have families with children I occasionally get the kids movements blurry considering they move around so much. However overall my issue is just blurred photos… And I've played around with my settings and read up on manual photography but something still isn't right.

What should I do for my first youtube video?

So I'm a sophomore girl in high school and I've wanted to make youtube videos for a really long time, and now that I have a decent camera (Nikon D5100), I'm determined to start my channel. However, I have no clue where to start.

I want my channel to mainly be vloggy type videos as well as videos stating my opinion on certain topics/movies/books/internet stuff, etc. I've recorded so many introductory videos just introducing myself but I look so awkward in all of them and I don't know what to say about myself to make a viewer come back to see more.

I would love to make an opinionated video as my first video, but I'm scared that it'll seem like I'm hating on whatever topic I talk about and it won't make people subscribe and continue watching my content. Any suggestions?

Sigma lens 35-80mm - need adapter?

I have an old pentax that I've only just realized has a detachable SIGMA 35-80mm lens. I have recently bought a NIKON D3100, and I was wondering is there like an adapter or a mount I can put the lens in, to be able it on my Nikon?

How to set the timer on a Nikon D60?

Before you say it, I did a search and found the following answer from six years ago, which doesn't work:

"Press menu
use the multi selelctor to get to teh custom shooting menu it will look like pencil icon
press the multiseelector right
use the down mulyiselector to get to menu custon settings 11
press OK or the right selector again
select self timer
press OK

Now the fn button is set to the self timer, you press the fn button and it will activate it then press the shutter release to activate it "

I have done all of this. I press "Fn" and it says "Self-timer" on the display screen. I press the shutter button, and it doesn't do anything. There's no countdown, there's nothing on the display to indicate that it might or might not be doing anything.

Twice, out of about 20 tries, it did actually work. Naturally it never worked when I actually had my shot set up, and most of the time it never worked when I was just testing it either.

What's the magic formula that makes it work?

How to modify a Helios 81M lens for a Nikon D5200?

I've just purchased a Helios 81M (2.0f, 53mm) prime lens to use with my Nikon D5200. While it has an F mount and is reported to work with the Nikon D80 without modification, it fits the D5200 mount but can't turn at all to lock into place. Does anyone have any suggestions of adapters I could use or how to modify the lens to fit?
