Does the Rode VideoMic Go work with the Nikon D3200?

The VideoMic Go needs 2.5 V plug-in power, I think. Will the Nikon D3200 work with the VideoMic Go?

What I believe you're referring to with "plug in power" is probably phantom power. That means the mike probably takes a battery to make it run.

Does the 3200 have an external audio input? If so, and the mike plug is the correct size it should work.

The microphone requires plug-in power (330uA @ 2.5V)

You may have to call Nikon to see if the microphone jack on the D3200 can supply power to such a microphone.

For the $100 it costs for the Rode mic, I would instead by a Zoom H1 external stereo recorder and a Director's clapboard to sync sound. You can find clapboards for under $15 on Amazon.
