How long do I have to charge my Nikon D5100's battery?

So my Nikon D5100's battery died so I'm currently charging it. It is taking forever. I mean it says it still charging and it has been 2 DAYS. I'm scared that the lithium (I think) might explode. So can someone tell me what's wrong or how long this will take!

Why is my camera clicking so slowly?

I have a Nikon D3100.It's been awesome, but today it started behaving strangely. It seems like the shutter speed is very slow. Even in bright light, it takes 1/2-1 seconds between the initial click and the slightly lower click. The shutter seems to be a lot louder than normal, also. However, the main camera screen displays a normal shutter speed of 1/50-1/100. The really weird thing is that the pictures come out fine--the camera doesn't seem to be taking a picture during the entire click. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

How to sell my broken Nikon D3000?

I dropped my Nikon D3000 out of the car the other day when it was in it's case. The camera still works (takes pictures) but when turned on, the screen on the back is all black with white "cracks" in it. You can't see anything from the back screen. Nikon said they could fix it for an estimated cost of $200.00. I decided to buy the body of a Nikon D3100 for only $275.00 instead. I was wondering if there are any reputable websites out there that would buy my fixable broken camera for a decent price?

Getting into Pet Photography?

I'd love to get into some pet photography. Maybe some very cheap or free shots to start off with. I was thinking about simply taking photos of animals for my local shelter for free (biggest one in my state however), just to get some practice. Eventually after time hopefully getting a name for myself and being able to charge even a small sum of money.

I own a Nikon D90 and now about ISO, Aperture and Shutter speed etc. Is there any other settings or camera specific things I should read up on or learn? Do you think this is an okay camera for the work I want to do or should I get a better camera? Is there any pet specific things I should read up on also?

I'm not afraid of animals (unless they are really big spiders, haha) and know the basics of training for mostly all animals. I can also do some work with Photoshop (Medium experience).

- Some examples. I know these photos are less than average but I'm still learning and these were all I had on my SD card at the moment.

I need a cheap SLR-like camera, what is your suggestion?

I'm used to do photography with a Nikon d80 camera, with 18-55 and 70-300 3.5, 6. But I have lost this camera and lenses. I want to buy a new camera in budget. I can dedicate 500$ at maximum for purchasing a camera an it's lens.actually I know that it is not that much, but at the moment I can't cost much more. On the other hand, I can't live without the camera, I'm addicted to do photography. One day I decide to not purchase a camera until I would have a budget of 2000 to 3000 dollar. But this can't happen soon.

Anyway, I decide to but a camera for landscape, outdoor, nature. I'm serious photographer who detail and sharpness is much important for me. I recently found Canon hx50 interesting while cannon G1x catch my eye because of 24-1200 lens capability and big sensor respectively.

I'm not sure if these camera can meet my demand.

What is your suggestion?
