So I'm trying to decide whether buying a 1.8G or 1.8D for my Nikon d3100. I know the basic differences, the 1.8 is slightly sharper, the bokeh is a bit better, the color and contrast is slightly better, it's lighter & it's compatible for autofocus with my camera. But it's at least $80 more. That's no problem for me, I'll work for it (keep in mind, I'm a 14 year old girl) but if there's no real difference, I'd rather save that money for a film camera or other things. Even though the manual on the 18-55mm lens sucks, I love manual focusing it. I prefer it way more than auto most of the time. I also used my friends Pentax & she had a 50mm lens on it & it was great & I'm pretty sure it was on manual focus. I really don't know though. I plan to upgrade my camera in the future so maybe the other lens would work on autofocus with it.
Is the Wu-1a compatible with the Nikon D5100?
The Wu-1a adapter is compatible with the Nikon D3200 which is the predecessor to the Nikon D5100.
Prob in viewfinder in nikon d5100?
Whenever I try to take pic with viewfinder, it focusses but didn't clicks. Live view is working fine but don't
need that. When I focus some object even at well lit conditions too, it focuses and a green light in front of the camera comes up and then turns off.still dint clicks. Please refer me to any article or give a good answer. I'm an amateur photographer.
Stores in singapore that sells 2nd hand cameras?
Hello can anyone tell me what trustworthy stores in singapore sells second hand cameras because i want to buy a nikon d3100 and we all know that dslr's are pricy. And yes i'm a newbie. I'm planning to buy from cathay photo they're very trustworthy but they only sell brand new stuff. So can anyone please rec some stores with slightly used cams. I'm a tourist yep and we'll be staying there for 4 days only.
Nikon D5100 video settings and rendering?
I have a nikon d5100… Who knows what settings is used to create a film look. And also, what is the best render setting in sony vegas pro 11 for that film look?
I just got the Nikon Nikkor 18-55mm lens with my D3200 camera and when I took it out of the box I noticed two small "bubble" looking marks on the lens. I've tried cleaning it but it seems to be some sort of scratch. Should I return it to the company to have it exchanged or will it even affect my pictures any?

Added (1). It doesn't have to be Nikon. I just mentioned it cause it was one of the first names that popped up when looking for beginner DSLR. It can be Canon or some other brand. But kinda looking into the ones less than 400. If i can get something similar yet at a much lower price, that would be fine by me.
How to capture a photo in slow mo so it looks like it's moving?
Like when you see a photo of a car moving and there's light streaks i'm trying to do that with small game dice! I'm using a Nikon D3100 DSRL. What iso, f-stop, and exposure would i use?
Photos disappeared off camera? - 1
Ok basically I took 300 photos on a camera I took the ad card and put it in a different camera that the computer can detect I always do this. Before I put it in the other camera when I had it in the original camera a Nikon d60 it said this sd card contains no images when I took pictures on the camera and viewed it. When I opened the files on the ad card the images said no preview available and when I opened it in a various amount of programs such as iranview they still would not open. I downloaded recovery programs for the jpeg files and they recovered finally on one program called stellar image recovery when I recovered it the photos contained no headers the colors were changed. The photos were different colors instead if the original colors and some of the photos had grey sections where the majority of the picture was covered by a gray color. What I was thinking was I could save those jpeg files got from the recovery proram and then download a jpeg repair program and it would fix them. I don't really know what's wrong with the Jpeg files maybe there corrupted but keep in mind I'm 13 so I'm not the best with these type of things please answer
Gary Fong Lightsphere vs Rouge Flash Benders? (shadow problem)?
I'm using Girlfriend's Lightsphere and like it but the only problem is when I tilt my camera vertical, I see the vivid shadow on one side of the model, however all horizontal shots are shadowless. Is there a way to avoid the shadows? I'm using a Nikon 24-70 and D90.
Also, can Rouge Flashbender shoot without shadows? How does it work?
