Nikon D90 Over Exposure Problems?

We just got a new Nikon D90 and it was perfect at first. But, now the pictures we take outside in the sun seem to be over exposed and way too bright.
I've tried setting the exposure on the lowest settings and everything, but it's either way too bright or in the lowest settings, way too dark.

What's going on with my camera? We use 2 lenses: 18-200mm and 30mm. Is it the lenses? Because the 18-200 is our kit-lens from our old D40 and it was messing up and now the 30 is too bright, too.
Or is it the settings? What settings should I try? I don't want to have to rely on editing the pictures where my camera should be working.

Nikon D3000 dirty lense?

Okay, so guilty as charged, I use the corner of my shirt as a cloth for the dust on my lense. I uploaded pictures to my computer yesterday, and some seemed a little fuzzy/grainy. Is it my fault? Is there a way I can fix it? If I have to buy something please include a link. 10 Points Best Answer!

Canon digital camera like the Nikon d5000?

I found a Nikon d5000 for 599$ at Sam's Club that comes with a case
from there onward I haven't found anything that has the same features and "cool stuff" that the nikon d5000 has including the vari-angle.
I was looking for a canon like it but couldn't find one.
Anyone have any advise? Anyone know any canon like the nikon d5000.
its need:
*can change lens
*can change flash*
*vari-angle lcd
*same features

What is live view (put simply)?

I'm thinking about getting the Nikon D3000, and I've looked at reviews that have said it's major letdown is that it doesn't have live view. I've tried to search what it means, but I can't find a straightforward answer.

Could somebody please simply explain to me what live view is?

What lenses can I use with my Nikon D40 SLR?

I have just bought my friends SLR Camera which comes with default lens but would like to get a telephoto lens too. I have seen some Canon ones, inparticular a Canon USM model (which I understand means the motor in built in) but are Canon lenses compatible? If not are there any makes, apart from Nikon's own stuff, that I should be looking out for?

Dslr purchase. Recommendations?

Thinking about getting either the Nikon D5000 or Canon T2i. Both camera's feel great on my hand as I tried it out too. Which would fit my needs more?
I plan to shoot cars, nature, and people. I'll do some video recording here and there but chances are it's just gonna be random moments so quality isn't important. I've just been using regular compact digital camera's for the past 7-9 years and decided to take the next step in photography.

***I heard about the D7000 being released next month but I don't think because I don't plan on going pro or pursuing so (tho money isn't a problem), more like a dedicated hobby. And is there going to be a successor to the D5000 anytime soon or foreseeable future? That is something I'm actually looking forward to.

Sorry to make another one of those Dslr purchase threads. I know there's been a lot of them lately and I'm pretty sure it's getting annoying too.
