Nikon D3100 v.s. D3000?

I bought a D3100 for $700 with an 18-55mm VR lens. I saw today a Camera that was a D3000 for $599 with a 18-55 (non VR Lens) and 55-200 zoom Lens. My question is which has a better quality? Which is a better deal? And what's the difference of having a lens with VR and non VR? I'm really confused.

The D3100 is a better camera. It has the better sensor and more features.

as for the deals, $700 with a lens is normal price, $600 for the Nikon D3000 with the 18-55 and 55-200mm is a deal.

VR is more needed on a zoom lens, like the 55-200 because any wobble is exponentially increased while zoomed in
