Nikon D3100 DSLR camera?

I'm wanting a Digital SLR camera, I have been searching and researching for a few weeks now, and I'm leaning toward the Nikon D3100. I'm wanting to take mostly landscape photos, but I also want a camera that I can use to take photos of everything with. I was just wanting some advice. I have read so many conflicting reviews on this camera, I'm just wanting some advice from anyone who has used the camera or knows about it. Any information is appreciated. Also any lenses that you recommend let me know. Thanks so much to everyone and may God bless you!

The 3100 is a great camera. A replacement for the 3100, called the 3200, was just announced this morning - it won't be on store shelves for a couple months, though. Also consider buying the Rebel T3. For now, just get an 18-55 kit lens.

It's pretty decent and comes with the 18-55mm, great for landscapes, adequate for portraits and an excellent learning tool.
With the D3200 coming out shortly, the price may fall a little - or you can try and find the older D3000, still available, but even cheaper. It's just as good for a beginner.

Hey D3200 is just announced and it comes with new 24MP sensor, better ISO range and Expeed 3 image processor, you also get better video mode and few manual controls while recording the video.
The new D3200 also offer wireless shooting vai android smart devices…

My suggestion is you should buy the new nikon D3200, but it will cost you approx $150 extra.compared to the current price of Nikon D3100
