My nikon D70 just Died?

Yesterday it was working perfectly. Today I go to take some photos with it and my Nikon D70's dead. There's nothing on the LCD screen, the battery is brand new and 100% charged so I know its not that. Nothing happened to the camera (didn't get dropped, banged, ect.). Its just… Dead. What happened? Anyone have this happen to them? What can i do: (?
Added (1). No the battery isn't a dud. I've tried 3 different batterys all of which were fully charged.nothings working.lcds not showing anything.

Your New Battery is a DUD…

They don't make 'em like they used to. Seriously, I have film cameras over 30 years old that would still work if I were still using them. It looks like you may have to choose between expensive repair or a new camera.
