It's better a Nikon or a Canon?

I've a Nikon D3000 but I was between it & the Canon XS
what do you think?

Ah the old question. I own and know the Rebel XS. An excellent camera. I've had mine for over a year and it's giving me exactly the results I want.

I have Pentax K-x. Never considered a D3000 or an XS.

Xs is somewhat better in lowlight. D3000 is a lot more comfortable to hold and use

Both Nikon and Canon are good brands, as are Sony and Pentax. Don't make a change without specific reason.

Both are awesome. I've got a Nikon and I love it!
