I'm not very good at Photography. But i'm very much passionate about it. I'm planning to buy Nikon D3100 to take my passion to a higher level. Is this DSLR a good one for a beginner like me? Is Nikon D3100 a user friendly one? I mean can i use it without much of any complications?

It's a good camera for beginners, but you'll certainly need to study and learn before you could make any good images.

Totally. I'm a beginner and I just purchased the d3100.It's super easy to work after you play with it a while. I love it, I'm happy I didn't get the d5100, I feel the d3100 perfect for a beginner!

The D3100 is a great beginner's camera for several reasons.
First of all, it can accept the vast selection of Nikon lenses, autofocusing with AF-S versions and manually focusing with many others.
Second, it has a Guide Mode, that will lead you through most common situations. Not a bad way to give you success as you learn.
Third, it is capable of excellent photos, with high-end features in an introductory price-range.

Some 11 million sample photos. Just use the drop-down Now Showing menu for common types of photos, or choose the Search box to find subjects of interest to you.

And here's some posts from a D3100 user's group.

Here's a great price for a factory refurbished D3100 with Nikon 18-55mm AF-S VR lens for $499.99.

Yes, although personally I'd spend a little mire and go for a d5100
