Is a nikon d5000 compatable with a miranda 400 flash?

At least i think its a miranda 400 - i'm currently sat downstairs with a huge cast on so its hard to get upstairs to check what it is exactly, but i think thats right.i'm taking a few pictures for a friends big day tomorrow and my mum found this flash in the loft from when she loved photography & was wondering if this will be okay with my nikon d5000?

Manual flash, don't know the trigger voltage but will guesstimate that it is very high.

If you don't know how to use a manual flash, you are better off without it tomorrow. No time to learn.

Once you do get a chance, I suggest a Wein Safesync if you want to use the Miranda flash without possible damage to your camera. It would be cheaper to just buy an SB-400, although I consider those a waste of money due to lack of power.
