How would it be to use Nikon 70-300VR lens on a Nikon D3000?
I have a D3000 with me and i'm in real need of a good zoom range.
I read that FX lenses appear much longer on DX cameras.
Like 70-300 will be 105-450.
Is it really worth? How are the results? Please do help.

No, that is not so. A 70-300mm FX lens will look on DX like a 105-450 mm lens would look *on FX*.
But a 70-300mm lens will always look the same on a camera regardless of if it's an FX or a DX lens. It's the camera that changes how a lens works, not the type of the lens. When used on the same camera, the focal length of different lenses is always comparable without further math.
I would consider Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR Nikkor Zoom Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
