How smart is it to buy a used DSLR?
I want a Nikon d40x and I was wondering if buying it off craigslist would be a smart idea? Just wanted some input on it.
I honestly would never buy dslr nikon on the internet or any other slr just because it seems unsafe to me. I would go with using an authorized dealer
Buying used is usually a bad idea unless you know the person personally and you know he/she is a person that takes good care of their things
You can however, trust Bhphotovideo.com for used cameras since they inspect the camera thoroughly
but yeah, in general Stay away from ebay and craigslist
I would consider Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control for Nikon D40, D40x, D60, D80 & D90 Digital SLR Cameras

Slim wireless remote instantly triggers shutter without disturbing camera
