How to fix my Nikon lens?

jade_pisces
The 18-55mm lens that came with my d40 are stuck. It won't rotate in either direction past the '55'. I don't have a warranty so i can't have Nikon fix it and i don't want to have them repaired (expensive). Also, not ready to buy other lens right now. When i try to rotate it, i hear a small clicking sound
Can i fix this myself?

No, you can't. That's a factory repair.
The gears and focusing mechanisms inside that lens are all plastic. They break easily.
Sorry. But that's your only choice - other than buying another lens.
