Does the Rode Video Mic work with the Nikon D5000?

Just wondering if it works, need answers quick!

Any Microphone you choose, will work with your camcorder, as long as your camcorder has a MIC port, you only need to get the proper cable to hook the microphone to that port. If your camcorder does not have a MIC port, then for better audio capture, use a Digital Audio recorder, hook your Microphone to that and record your audio, then mix in post.
