Connecting an Iphone to nikon D7000?

I know there's a cord that can connect them. I need to be able to take selfies for school. And I want to look on ebay but don't know what type of cord to bye? I have a nikon D7000 and an Iphone. Please help!

Added (1). I go to art school and the quality of an iphone would probably get me an F. And its going to be a unit in the class coming up soon. So If any one has any idea of what kind of cord i need that would be great thank you

Why don't you just take these so-called "selfies" with one of the two cameras on your iPhone (assuming you have one of the newer models). Don't waste all the power of a Nikon d7000 on taking selfies…

What exactly do you expect to do, if you could attach the two?

Just use your D7000 to take the photos you need (always shoot at the cameras highest resolution)

Attaching your iPhone to a D7000, even if that were possible, would not improve any "snapshot" quality images that you may shoot with your iPhone.

Just shoot all your assignments using the D7000 and leave your iPhone out of the equation

Use the time delay on the D7000. What cord do you need?

D7000 on a tripod
Aim and focus camera on where you will sit/stand
Set time delay
Press shutter release
Move into position
Pose
Wait until shutter fires.
Admire the results

If you have the option set the time delay to take a sequence of 5-10 shots. That way you can pick the best one.
