I own a t1i and an XS (the t3 is the XS upgrade) and they're both excellent. I only recommend what I own and therefore know - Canon. Either Canon will do nicely.

T1i competes with D5000 (DX is just a term that applies to more Nikon cameras).
T3 competes with the D3100.

D5000 would be the best, as T1i has more noise, but if you can afford it the D3100 or T2i would be the best.

D5000>T3>T1i from your list, just in case.

I prefer Nikon but not D5000 DX. Nikon D90 is much better than D5000.

I have used canon and the reason i switched to nikon because canon is so grainy at low light. Or high iso.

i own a nikon d5000 and it handles noise like a charm! I would definitely recommend u for d50000

Canon EOS Rebel T3 is amazing camera for the price! If you need a quick small easy to luge around camera this is it! I got it for my photography business. I needed something small easy to use to bring for small mini shoots, like newborn or for the reason I got it was for October photos and my camera was getting fixed so it was a back up… Everyone wants cute kids in their customs photos, so this was a nice kit that came with a lot of extra things that I needed any ways.
