So I'm trying to figure out which camera is the best out of these three particular ones: Nikon D3100 camera, Canon Eos rebel T3i, or Canon Eos Rebel XSi? If you can explain why any of these are better please do so and also include pros and cons. It would be much appreciated to get a point of view from a few others. Thanks so much! Easy 10 points for best answer. And I'll help you out in any way you need it!

First when it comes to dslr cameras you can forget "better"… There's different for sure but not better.
All dslr cameras from these two companies will produce excellent photos but to get there you must know how to properly operate the camera and lens.

I'm a Canon guy so I only recommend what I own and know. The t3i is excellent for both stills and
1080 HD video. But you don't need to spend that much to get a good Canon dslr with video. I shoot
a t1i and it too is excellent and about $300 less that the t3i.

The XSi doesn't do video. It's a fine Canon dslr but no video. I don't know if video is important but if it isn't then you certainly don't need to spend $950 on a camera.

But it's your money so good luck

If you are looking at the T3i/600D, then you need to look at the Nikon D5100. They are on par and of those two, the D5100 has a much better performing sensor.

As you can see, based upon the sensor performance, you may find that the D5100 will give you the most longevity.

Go with nikon d5100! Its way better than these 3! You can find it yourself by reading its specifications and reviews! No doubt about it.

XSi is 4 years old, discontinued and lacks many things that the T3i does.

However, there's a T2i as well! It uses the same sensor as the T3i, just without an articulating screen. They are the same and for less money, the T2i is a better buy!
