Camera Lens For Nikon D50?

What is the cheapest and coolest lens for Nikon D50?

The Nikon 50mm f1.8 AF-D lens is not very expensive, and it should produce sharp pictures with hardly any distortion or chromatic aberration. It will autofocus with the D50. The focal length is a slight telephoto, good for many shots, but not wide enough for others.

Here is a list of all the currently available Nikkor lenses.

The lens you choose should be based upon the subjects you tend to shoot, not the degree of "coolness".
My favorite lens is the Nikkor 14-24 mm wide angle zoom.
The one I use the most is the Nikkor 18-200 mm VR

Cheapest… Hmm. My son now shoots it with an old 28-80D which I picked up for 30 euros. Coolest… I've had a tokina 19-35 on it which was cool. I really love primes on mine, the 50mm f1.8 for example but also a 24 or 28mm prime goes really nice.
If you're young you'll be wanting a fisheye of course. There's some full manual 8mm f3.5 fisheyes on the market that are nice.
