A good lens for a nikon D5000?
I'm wondering what a good lens would be for shooting landscape and nature. My price range is under $240.
The best lens for shooting landscapes is the 10-24 mm ($900) and for nature I guess there are two type "nature" lenses, a macro like a 60 mm f/2.8 macro ($600) or telephoto for shooting wild life like the 70-300 mm ($590)
Here is how those lenses "see" the world

As you can see, your $240 budget is a little low.
Pick your lens and save your pennies
I would agree with David, you don't have enough money.
I would also tell you this. If you know how to properly operate your camera and a lens, any lens will do all the things you want… Any lens that is with some zoom to it.
I always recommend a single lens solution - say the 18-200 or 28-200. You can do virtually any kind of typical photography with these lenses and get excellent results - but again, I stress, unless you actually know how to operate this camera, no lens will do you any good at all. Can you operate all the manual controls given any unique lighting situation? If not, learn how then shop for lenses.
The lenses I mentioned will run from $400 on up.
Landscape: with your sort of budget, I think the kit lens should do fine for now.
nature: for wildlife shots, consider the Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens. For macro, the cheapest you can get is the new Nikkor 40mm f2.8 micro lens.
