Good lens with big zoom for nikon d5000?

Looking for a high power zoom for nikon d5000 for under $600 for still and fast moving objects

I guess you have not looked at the Nikon website at the lenses that are available.

The 18-200 mm VR* and 28-300 mm VR** have the most reach, but cost from $850 to $1, 050

* DX lens
** FX lens

The longest zoom is the amazing 200-400 mm f/4** lens, $6, 300.

The 18-200 mm VR is well worth saving your pennies to buy if you have the patience to save up your money.

That will perform better than a superzoom like the 18-200, it also has longer reach and is cheaper
