Plugged my camera into computer & it is not showing anywhere?
Nikon P520, used it on 2 other computers but is not working on my Samsung. Not showing where things are normally shown from. Have downloaded the relative software from Nikon, but nothing! ANy suggestions?
Get a USB card reader (if your computer doesn't already have one built in), and take the card out of your camera and get the computer to read that.
Yes it does & yes it works but it's also how I charge the battery on the camera… It kinda kills two birds by running through the computer. Any other ideas?
Have you checked the USB port on your computer? Does anything else work on that port?
If the port is good, and if you don't want to go the Explorer route, try rebooting the computer. It solves a lot of ills.
This happens from time to time. Restarting the computer with the camera disconnected from the computer usually fixes it. If not, then uninstall the drivers and reinstall them making sure that they're the latest ones from Nikon.
Also, check your camera's firmware version and make sure it's v1.1. Nikon has updates: https://support.nikonusa.com/...are-update
Uninstall the camera's software. Use a cheap USB card reader to connect the camera's memory card directly to the computer's USB slot then use Windows Explorer or (Mac) Finder to do the actual copying for absolute total control over what goes where exactly.
