Camera won't turn on?

I have a nikon s52 and after i charged the battery for about 6 hours, it won't turn on. If i hold the button down, the power button turns green, but shuts off after 5 seconds. Can someone help!

Try recharging overnight. If that doesn't work, replace the battery. If that still doesn't work, replace the charger.
