Best Compact Digital Camera to Buy?

I'm looking for the best Compact digital camera to buy, but don't know what brand or model to get, Please some suggestions, I'm thinking Nikon, Canon, Samsung looks okay, but need help from a professional that know about camera!

Added (1). G1 X is a good camera but still bulky, I'm looking toward a pocket size fit camera with GREAT Picture, I will be willing to pay upward of $500

The G1X is a great compact camera, but costs about 800 bucks…

If you are looking for pocket size
don't invest some $500
you can buy an extra-ordinary SLR by investing some more bucks (Ex: Canon eos series, Nikon D series etc)
try looking at canon ixus series
canon ixus 115 hs,
canon ixus 220 hs and above in that series
Fujifilm f505. And above
Sony WX50 and there are many good pocked sized ones for you ranging from 150-250/300 dollars in amazon.com
Please try taking a look and choose the one which has CMOS and which has got lens image stabilization and other features which meet your requirement.
