Best digital compact camera?
I'm looking for a great digital compact camera. What would you recommend and why?
I've heard that Nikon brought out a compact camera that is almost in the league of a DSLR?
The best compact camera is the Leica X1 ($2000) followed by the Fujifilm X100 ($1200)
Nikon, as far as I know, hasn't put out any compact camera with the power of a DSLR.
Hi See best compact camera available in the market http://thenewcamera.com/?page_id=661
Canon PowerShot S95
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ100
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ20
Fujifilm FinePix F550EXR
Canon PowerShot SX30 IS
Nikon Coolpix S8100
Ricoh CX5
Nikon Coolpix L120
Olympus XZ-1
For all of the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS's strengths-solid design, well-stocked features, good image quality, stellar interface and menu system-we can't recommend this camera. We had a great time with the PowerShot SX130 IS, but our joy dwindled every time we had to throw a new set of AA batteries into the hatch. Photo shoots were interrupted or abruptly aborted, and frustration continued to climb. This is sad, because Canon just launched a killer lineup of compacts for the fall, many of which we will be reviewing very soon.
