A good, high quality camera?

Susan

I'm going to be starting my photography class in about two weeks. I have a useful camera, but the only way I can get good pictures is if I edit it myself, from the brightness to the colors of the photo that don't show up as good as I would like it too. Can someone give me recommendations to a high quality camera? I was going to go with Nikon but I wasn't too sure on the brand.
Price doesn't matter, as long as it's not around $1000.

The following is a really good beginner camera. It has a graphical interface geared for beginners. But you can also go for the nikon D5200, which is both an entry level and an intermediate level camera. IF you get the D5200 you might find it difficult to use at first, but in the long run, you will be saving money and getting satisfaction.

If you're a complete beginner get this camera:

Any dSLR would do. They are all basically the same. For your own good, avoid entry-level models. They are crippled in one way or another. The higher end the camera is, the easier it will be to take the shot if you know what you're doing.

Here's one you can take with you anywhere - desert, snow or even the beach!
