Nikon d5200 mode to take picture of firework?
I have Nikon d5200 and I wonder what mode should I use to take picture like this in the picture and a picture of me and my boyfriend watching firework. Most people said landscape. Can you please help me
Put it on auto, since you clearly have no idea how to use your camera.
There are probably hundreds of Youtube tutorials on how to shoot fireworks. Search for them and you will find it is rather easy.
You need a tripod, a remote shutter release and you need to manually focus the lens to infinity. Once the fireworks start, you simply open the shutter with it in the Bulb mode and hold it open until three or four bursts are recorded.
Usually with an ISO setting of 200 and the lens aperture set to f/8 or f/11 will get you close to a good exposure. Make slight adjustments and enjoy the show
My guess is that you were looking for a "fireworks" mode on your camera. You no longer have a P&S camera and need to start learning how to use the controls on your fine, fully adjustable camera as you learn the fundamentals of photography
Landscape can mean at least two things: 1) the angle of the camera or, 2) the mode of the camera. If they mean holding it level, with the bottom down, it is totally irrelevant. If the mean put it in landscape mode, that is good for shooting scenery such as mountains, again, totally irrelevant. Many cameras have a "fireworks" mode. The D5200 does not. You will have to put it in Manual mode and control the ISO, shutter speed and aperture. Here is a tutorial on the subject:

So Auto doesn't work and there's no Fireworks mode? Your only choice is Manual!
There are lots of techniques of shooting fireworks with a dSLR and almost all of them require the use of a tripod. Scour the internet for suggestions on what settings to use.
