How to get pictures from my canon camera to my macbook?
I have a canon t3i and when i connect it to my macbook the nikon transfer thing pops up and it has things that say like transfer queue and stuff but the pictures on my camera don't show up. Is it because it's nikon transfer and I'm using a canon? Do I need to download a different program?
This is one of the most common problems that people have that cameras don't show up on the computer.
Solution: Try using a Card Reader.
Connect the External Card Reader to the Computer. Remove the Memory Card from the Camera. Insert the Memory Card into the Card Reader and start downloading. Confirm that photo are currently sitting on the computer. Remove the memory card from the the card reader return it back to the camera and format the memory card at the end of the day. Problem solved. Card Readers can be found at many electronic stores and doesn't cost that much. Plus software isn't needed to run the card readers just plug and go.
Nikon software can indeed fail to work with Canon camera.
Try a vendor neutral software like Picasa (Free) or Lightroom (Paid).
