How many photos will a 8GB SD card hold when being used with a 24MP camera?

I'm getting a 24MP Nikon D5200 and was wondering how many photos my 8GB SD card can hold if I take the photos in JPEG Fine.

Probably 400 or 500. You don't have to keep the camera at 24MP all the time. If you set the images to medium you will be able to take allot more pictures.

When you get the camera do the math if the camera doesn't tell you. Check the properties on one of your largest files. Divide that number into 8gb and you'll have an approximate idea.
