Should I exchange my Sony a3000 for a Nikon D3200?
I've got a Sony a3000. I know it's not a real DSLR, just has the DSLR body.
I have a chance to exchange it for a Nikon D3200, and I would have to pay $100.00 towards the Nikon.
I'm ONLY looking at these 2 cameras, please do not suggest other cameras, please.
Yes, this may be an excellent move.
The Sony has an electronic viewfinder, so using it to shoot action and any kind of sports can be problematic. The Nikon has a true optical viewfinder.
When it comes to sensor performance, here is what you really need to know

As you can see, both sensors perform very closely with each other, but the electronic viewfinder in the Sony is what would kill owning one in my case. About 50% of my photo assignments include shooting sport or some kind of action.

NOTE: Do not take anyone seriously who can't spell Canon
Go with a cannon dslr
Yes if you already feel the need to go to a traditional DSLR and honestly feel the electronic viewfinder offered nothing of value to you.
That's an excellent deal provided that the Nikon comes with an 18-55 lens on it.
Ideally try them side by side in a store.
