The Nikon D300 can use just about any Nikkor lens made.

I use two old Nikkor pre-AI lenses with the AI conversion done to them. They are manual focus lenses but the Nikon D300 (and older D200 and D100) camera lightmeters work just fine using those old lenses.

ANY Nikkor AF or AF-S lens will also work on the D300
