You can read for yourself the different features of each camera. So you must decide which are most useful and important to you.
A camera which I might like and recommend might not be what you find is right.
Look athem both in a store and get to understand their various specifications, then chose the one that you will feel happiest with.

Choosing a camera is really a personal choice. Some phtogs swear by Canon, others by Nikon so it's your call. Costco usually has very good prices on cameras. They usually include lots of extra goodies you don't get elsewhere… Bag, memory card, cleaning kit, etc.

They are both excellent cameras and they are occasionally on sale at various outlets such as BestBuy and B&H. This tool lists some of the advantages of each camera.
