thanks

Added (1). Does the nikon d500 has built in motor?
Tamaron 70-300mm AF 1:4-5.6 LD tele macro… Is it compatible? And will work with auto focus with nikon d5000?

There are different versions of that lens
if its a Di then it has its own motor so its equivalent to a nikon AF-S lens.

there are both canon and nikon fit versions, so you have to be sure which one it is.

but it should be ok

Sigma call their lenses with built-in motor, 'HSM.' I'm not sure about Tamron's designation, but I'd double-check before purchase.

A lens without a motor will allow metering, but not AF on the D5000, and my first instinct is that this is one of those.

If it has a Nikon mount, it will fit. Autofocus will depend if the lens has a built-in motor or not.

The D5000 does NOT have a built in motor, so you'll need a lens that does to use the AF feature.
