Will Canon be making any new Dslr's soon?

I'm very close to getting the Nikon d3300 as my first Dslr, however I looked at Canons side and well, 1200d and the 100d? Is that all Canon has to offer against Nikon, or is it worth waiting another moth or two and see is Canon makes something good?

Yes maybe however, I don't see any difference among the three models you mentioned. You won't go wrong with any of them if your primary concern is brand recognition. If you really want the best camera at that price level, you should be looking at the cheapest one which is actually a mid-level model with an entry-level price tag.

Canon (and Nikon, Pentax and Sony) are producing new cameras every year. The new camera may be 5% better than the previous camera in certain areas and have some tweaks, but in terms of the photographs taken you'd have to look very very hard to see any difference.

In the world of consumer cameras they're all much the same, do much the same and the photos produced will be much the same.

Each manufacturer upgrades periodically., and while you're right that the 1200D is in direct competition to the D3300, there are more than two manufacturers.

Sony's SLT A58 shares its sensor with the Nikon (Nikon want the best sensors so they, like Pentax buy them from Sony) but shoots better video, and the Pentax K-500 meters with legacy lenses (the Nikon can take them, but won't allow metering), has a pentaprism (better) viewfinder, and its body motor allows autofocus with any lens in Pentax AF fit (the Nikon needs motorised lenses, as Nikon consider body motors (and pentaprisms) too expensive for entry-level models of the D3xxx and D5xxx series.

If you choose your camera like that you will wait for ever.
The difference between the 1200D and D3300 is minimal and any 1300D or 3400D will be more expensive and barely discernible from their respective predecessors.

Buy the D3300. You will love it…
Until you want more lenses and you will enter the problems caused by the lack of focus motor in the D3300 body restricting your lens options. Not a problem with Pentax, Canon or Sony.

I'm confused by your question. Canon just came out with a the T6i and T6s or 750D and 760D. These are new cameras with new features. The 7D Mark II was also released not long ago and they also came out with the 5DS and the 5DSR which are high mega pixel cameras this year. There have been quite a few new DSLR models that have come up. There's only so much you can do with a DSLR that has not already been done though. If you are looking for a lot of new features mirrorless may be the better option.
