Charge of my nikon dslr gets over too soon?

It i insert the memory card, the dslr keeps on reading the card even when it is off. I thought that it might be a virus in the card which is makin it read it. But when i keep the camera without the memory card also, the battery drains early. The problem is not with the battery which i'm sure. Can you tell me how 2 reset my camera

What does the manual say?

Your explanation make no sense.
Do you mean to say--the battery's are not lasting for a long time. When shooting still photography?

Saying that dslr camera continues to READ--the card?
When the camera is OFF?
Huh?
===
To say that when the camera is not in use.
The battery's are discharged.(after a day?)(2-days?)

I have always found Nikon camera's to use a lot of battery power.
That is why I use Canon Products.
