Nikon is better even though you have to pay a little more, but you get better quality pictures so it is worth it=D

Personal preference. I've used Canon cameras for 23 years and love them. I know Nikon owners who love their cameras just as much. If you've got a friend who has one or the other and is willing to help you learn it- that's as good of a reason for either.

Ones not really better than the other… It's like comparing Mac and PC.
People have different tastes.
Get one in your price range, if you want an affordable, new camera with HD video, get the Nikon 3100, or if you're looking for a really good mid-range model get the Canon T2i, it really depends on what you want, and your price range.

Neither, they are equally as bad when compared to the likes of Alpa, Contax, Hasselblad, Horseman, Leica, Linhof, Mamiya, Pentax (only included for their medium format stuff), Rollei or Sinar.

None, they're both good and so similar. See, professionals use Canon and Nikon. That tells us they're both good… Ignore people who say one is better and one is sharper etc., that's false.
