Which DSLR camera brand do you prefer?

I want to buy DSLR camera. I want a professional camera just because photography is my passion.So, please tell me which DSLR brand would be better for me (Canon, Nikon Vivitar etc).

Canon EOS7D

Always loved Canon DSLR's, but recently one my friend had this Vivitar, and i really like it, and its too cheap to buy, canon's are much expensive now, so you should definitely try vivitar for a change, see my source to find link.

That's something only you can decide for yourself. Go to a camera store and try out different brands' entry level cameras, and pick whichever feels best in your hands, whose control layout you find to be the most intuitive.

Choose from the Nikon D3100 or D5100 (perhaps D90 is video is NOT a requirement), Canon T2i (T3i if video is a requirement), Pentax Kr.

Nikon, Canon and Pentax generally are the brands that i would consider. Sony makes good cameras too, but their future is a bit dubious and Sony's customer support has a poor reputation.
Myself i'm a Nikon guy, but i'm a tad envious of Pentax' price/performance ratios (Nikon and Canon both are more expensive than Pentax)

Vivitar isn't even making DSLRs, where did you find them.

Canon - Nikon - Sony - Pentax.

Come on, think for a little. Does it matter with which one you go? It's not like Canon makes everything ugly while Nikon makes it nice but images look yellow. If that was true no one would be having that brand and you'd already hear from others.

DSLR cameras are the same in quality, you're looking at pro models not cheap baby cameras.

Canon EOS 7D or EOS 5D are two choices for you… Nikon certainly gives good results.(nikon D90) but canon has a better color representation…

Hasselblad, Mamiya, Leica, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sony and Sigma. Those are your only choices. Any will do. It will all depend on how much are you willing to pay for it.
