What DSLR camera would be best for a beginner?

I'm new to photography and I plan on purchasing a Digital SLR Camera over the summer. I want to spend between $400 and $700 for a camera. I have been looking at different Nikon and Canon models however, I still do not know which one is for me. I know I definitely want to get a camera with an included lens. I would also want the lens to be automatic.

What camera would you suggest for me?

Do you know of any good retailers who sell used cameras? I'm thinking that a used camera might be a good option in that I can get a better camera for a cheaper price.

There's NO difference how an entry level camera or $8, 000 top of the line camera works. They all involve balancing the ISO. Shutter speed and lens aperture.

If you are asking about the least expensive dSLR, then the Nikon D3200 and Canon T3/1100D

Here in Oregon the past few days have been sunny and amazing here in Salem and it is perfect time for pictures!

So after thinking of your question and with my own experience I have had with them I decided to write a blog post on my website to answer your question specifically and hopefully it will help others in the same situation as you.

I recommend the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. Although it is a DSLR, it shoots 1080p HD at 30 fps and 720p at 60 fps. It also has a flip- out vari angle 3" LCD screen in addition to the viewfinder. It also has several Video modes and auto focus points for easy filming. It has the universal Hot Shoe mount for a light and an External Mic input as well. It can film on an SD card, as well as Compact Flash storage. It fits right in your price range at $800.
I'm also really into film making, and I plan on purchasing this camera for its superior HD Video quality. Hope this helps!
