I'm gonna buy Nikon D 80?

Is it Okay, that It's taken 53 K? Does it take much better pics than D 40?

The D80 is an older model that came out 6 years ago. I would not buy it as it is way too late and camera technology has advanced beyond that. At Amazon, a D80 sells for $800. For that price, you can get a newer D3100 at $549 that does 14 megapixels instead of 10.

Old technology is never good. Be it camera or other gadets.

D80 is pretty old. New technology has come in better specification and less in price. You can can consider Nikon 5100 in this price range which is far better than D80.

It all depends on how much you are paying for it.
