I want to buy a Nikon D90. Do I buy from Best Buy or Crutchfield?

It's almost $200 more buying from Crutchfield, but I've heard they're extremely reliable.
What do you think?

I might suggest looking at Amazon.com or BHPhotoVideo.com. Their prices are comparable (within a few dollars) and Amazon offers free shipping. They're also extremely well regarded vendors.

If you walk into a Best Buy (I call them Worst Buy) I'll guarantee that they'll pressure, pressure, pressure you on an extended warranty that's a high-profit item for them.

All reliable. These places most times will have cheaper price than the 2 you mentioned even with shipping cost.

The Nikon D90 is a fantastic camera. It's Nikon's newest and best DX format DSLR. I prefer it to the old D300, which costs almost twice as much. That's the way it goes with digital cameras: new is almost always better, even for much less cost. The D90 has identical, or slightly better technical image quality than the D300, the exact same rear LCD, and adds several very useful ergonomic features for faster handling compared to the D300. These handling improvements will let you react faster to conditions, meaning you're more likely to get better pictures by being better prepared.

How about NIKON have you heard that they are Extremely Reliable?

Either would work, But if you run into a warranty issue NIKON will be on the hook for the most part. How ever most areas you will have a Best Buy in your town or one with in an hour or so. Being able to hold and feel how the camera is, is very important. Next Having a place to go to in case of a repair is nice too. The black tie added protection is good for accidents that may occur, and after getting the camera talk to your home owners or renters insurance rep and see what information they need to have to cover the camera if something happens to it.

Crutchfield is a great company and would buy from them again but they would need to have the best price on what I'm looking for, or be the last source to have what I'm looking for.
