Want cheap used DSLR camera?

Added (1). I borrowed a friends Canon 600D at the weekend and the family pics I took came out amazingly well. I have no skill and the camera just made amazing photos. Is there an older camera I can buy used for about £100 that used to be much more expensive years ago that you could recommend?

Look on EBay.
Sony A200 would be a good choice and they also accept and fully meter with all the old Minolta AF lenses dating back to the late 1980s. Search for: 'Minolta 'beercan' for your first telephoto lens.

Worth spending more on a Nikon D70 though. The Nikon D200s are great and maybe more likely to have stood the test of time. Look for shutter actuations under 50,000 on all of them.

Here's one for just under £100 from a reputable UK retailer:

If your interest is only photos (and absolutely no video) then you can pick up an old and cheap but decent 6-10MP dSLR for around $150. Just make sure you test it before paying. I just got an old D200 for less. Yes, I agree with keerok.

I recently purchased a Nikon D200 which I had converted to IR only and the camera cost me $150 in excellent shape.

The Nikon D200 is a much more robust camera than any entry level camera. It was the cropped sensor cameras used by pros, side by side with their full frame camera bodies.

You can look for a similar camera on KEH.com Craigslist. Test it before paying.
