Tokina 16-28 vs Nikon 17-35?

Just purchased a Nikon D600 and need something on the wide end. Can't afford the 14-24mm right now, but want to purchase a wide angle lens that can also double as a walk around. I just switched from DX to full frame. Used to have the tokina 11-16 and it was one of my favorite lenses, but didn't get as much use as I wanted. So was thinking with the longer 35mm I can use that along side of my 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, and 80-200.

Since you have used Tokina lenses, I'm sure you know of their reputation. I would think the Tokina 16-28 would give you excellent results.
