Nikon SLR Cameras

I'm thinking of buying a digital camera under £100. Any advice?

I'm thinking of buying a little digital camera, like a Nikon or Canon or whatever. I want a decent camera, just for taking pictures of nights out and stuff like that, nothing professional. I have a £100 budget and I want it to look quite good as well. Any advice on what the best thing to get is.

At that price, you're severely limited.

Argos carry a fair range, but avoid Kodak, Benq, Vivitar, GE and Praktica. You won't get anything spectacular, but I'd suggest narrowing your search further by avoiding cameras that rely on disposable batteries - look for those that include a Li-on battery and charger as these last longer.

Tesco are doing a 2-pack of 2Gb SD cards for £4.07 at the moment as well - nobody includes cards with cameras.

Nikon and Canon make good cameras across the price range. Also Sony, Pentax, Fuji, Olympus, Lumix. SPend as much as your budget allows on any of these.

Don't be tempted by the low price and high spec of Kodak, Vivitar, BenQ or GE - they are total junk!

You don't have to spend £300 to get a reasonable snapshot camera. There are plenty of good, cheap starter cameras around. Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony, Pentax and Panasonic (Lumix) are all good brands.

Amazon have the Fujifilm F80EXR for £77 at the moment and that is quite a lot of camera for the money: http://www.amazon.co.uk/...hotogr-21/

You can pick up an 8GB class 10 memory card for it cheaply too:

If you want a spare battery, that's not expensive either:

And that should still leave you just enough enough from your £100 to pick up a cheap case!
