I would like to know your opinion: Nikon or Canon? And why? Can't decide which?

Also, please list any cameras that you find very good, just for photography that are Canon or Nikon.

Nikon DSLR's can be very good when they work. However, I'm currently having a problem getting adequate warranty service on a repeatedly misfocusing 16-85mm AF-S VR. So I would have to give Nikon low marks for customer service. If I were starting from scratch I would probably be jumping to Canon for that reason.

I know that the Nikon DSLR is a good camera! I have a Nikon and it's pretty good. Another brand that I've heard of before is Fugifilm.

When you say, "just for photography" are you talking about a P&S or a dSLR?

Both make excellent cameras.

If you want to figure out which you LIKE the best, you will need to visit a proper camera shop and hold them in your hands.

You're going to get different responses based on personal preference. I'm a Canon user so I only recommend what I own and therefore know. Confusing isn't it. Just pick one you like because they're both excellent brands.

Pentax for DSLRs.

Fujifilm for bridge cameras.

I call the ones you mention, 'The Idiots' Two,' because stupid people can't see any further, and often misspell the names. I wouldn't p*ss on either.
