Hi

I want to buy a DSLR camera.

Please suggest which one is best, I have gone through all the reviews about Nikon 5100 and Canon 600 / 650 D, both looks good.

Now I'm confused, which one to buy. Please suggest which is best.

They are very good cameras for what they do and have much the same capabilities.

I've got the 600D.

You're going to have to try them out for yourself and decide which feels best and which is easiest to use.

I've been shooting with Canon since the good old days of film and have invested heavily in their lenses. As far as enlargements go, I prefer the details captured by the Canon sensors when it comes to digital. Not everyone is concerned with enlargements or pixel peeping like I'm and I've actually been perfectly happy with the Nikon results when I've been able to use their gear.

I've also liked the nikon DSLR software in their cameras for beginners with little hints and tips on shooting enabled.

With the models you mentioned, you can't go wrong. The difference between these camera's aren't that big.
When it comes down to it, you need to test the gear yourself and go with what you are comfortable with, you know the pro's and cons of each model/brand from the reviews now it's time to go with your gut feeling.

EDIT:

Additional details, also consider the lens availability and pricing in your area as well as the ones you want to use for the type of photography you are into.

I prefer the Pentax K-30, and many swear by Sony's SLTs.

If you can't answer this question for yourself, you aren't ready for a DSLR.

Each of the models you named is an excellent choice. Rather than call you names, I praise you for seeking out opinions and information.

As stated by others, though, I'd strongly recommend you go to a camera shop and handle each. See how the controls and menus work for you. How do they feel in your hands? It's like asking people what running shoes to buy or which car to drive. It's very much a personal decision.

Each model had both legacy models before it, and newer ones after it that you might consider. Look at what you need and go at least one step above that. Otherwise, you'll too soon outgrow that camera's capabilities. I'd consider adding the new Nikon D5200 to your shopping list.

I shoot Nikon and have for years. I'm unwilling to replace my many lenses and camera bodies to switch. I love the Nikon controls and how they handle.

But, if I were to start over from scratch, I'd have no problem going with Canon. Both companies make DSLR's that will grow with your interests and skills.

Here's a couple of detailed reviews to help you.
